Colorado Springs sits at an elevation of 6,035 ft. along the Front Range of the Rocky Mountains and is the second largest city in Colorado. Our city is near the glacier-carved Pikes Peak, a landmark in Pike National Forest with hiking trails and a cog railway leading to its 14,114-ft. summit. The city's Garden of the Gods park features pre-historic red-sandstone formations which predate the Rocky Mountains, and has both mountain and plains views. Colorado Springs is surrounded by outdoor activities, with some of the world's best skiing within a 1.5 to 2 hour drive via Monarch Mountain and/or Breckenridge. Colorado Springs is also home to the United States Air Force Academy and United States Olympic Training Center.
